Etosoto Cabo d’Espichel is located on a plot of land approximately 3
km long at Cabo Espichel, one of the most impressive and beautiful
places on the Costa Azul. This destination, away from classic tourist
routes, is virtually unknown to foreign visitors. It is situated 45 minutes south of Lisbon.
The land, on the edge of the Arrábida Natural Park, boasts significant
plant diversity, constituting one of the few examples of Mediterranean
maquis in Portugal. One of the reasons why Arrábida has been considered a true international ecological relic is, in fact, its preservation.
The wild landscapes, accentuated by immense cliffs, offer incredible
views and make it a perfect place for lovers of authenticity. The long
beaches, accessible by bicycle along picturesque dirt paths, allow for
relaxation in a sumptuous setting. The spectacular dimension of its
coast is undoubtedly the main attraction of Cabo Espichel.
The region has many assets: historically, with the Cabo Espichel
lighthouse, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Cabo Espichel, the small
chapel Ermida da Memória, the dinosaur footprints, and the town
of Sesimbra with its castle… Naturally, thanks to numerous walking
trails, Albufeira Lake, and the multitude of beaches such as Praia da
Baleeria, Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo, Praia do Meco, Praia das Bicas,
and Praia da Mijona.
